When I was little, I had a small book full of stickers I collected throughout my childhood. Each page had its own story and I loved filling it with cute images and memories. Jolla Co. is the same for me as I collect my favorite memories and make them into something I hope everyone can be able to love.
I have always had an interest in art and majored in graphic design at BYU in Utah. While in Utah, I met my husband and a few years later, we were blessed with a baby girl. I have always toyed with the idea of starting an Etsy shop but had trouble finding something that I loved. While attending university, I had a project to create a set of stickers. While making stickers for an assignment, I thought to myself that I could do this for a long time and love it. So I had my "thing" but not sure where to start.
I looked around for existing sticker shops and was amazed by the amazing talent out there. To say I was nervous was an understatement. Then suddenly, the pandemic hit and I found myself at home. I practiced drawing on my ipad and invested in a sticker cutting machine and a printer. With a lot of trial and error, I made my first few sticker sheets. I still remember the excitement of getting my first sale.
I continue to experiment with my illustrations and sticker making processes. Opening my own website is another step in this amazing journey that started out as a passion project. I am so grateful for all of the love and support from the sticker community. And to my husband for those late nights packing and cutting orders. It's so funny to think that these little stickers are a dream come true! I hope you can continue on this journey with me!
